Dusty Springfield – Son of a Preacher Man

We needed to take a little break from the awesome indie music we normally post and do a throw back to 1968 with Dusty Springfield’s groovy tune “Son of a Preacher Man.” The rights to cover the song was originally offered to Aretha Franklin who turned it down. Too bad as this was a huge hit in both the UK and America! Wednesday is Hump Day so turn it up, lean back, start snapping your fingers, and revel in the fact that the work week is halfway over!

Pheonix – If I Ever Feel Better

Hopefully these guys will never feel better because we love the music they are putting out. This is an easy song to work to, chill to, or play on the boombox on your shoulder as you strut down the sidewalk.
